We are delighted to announce that Martyn Oliver, Amanda Patchett and Ash Whitehead have been selected by the Keighley West Labour Party to stand as candidates in the upcoming local elections in May 2026.
Martyn has lived in Keighley since the early 1990s, just by Lund Park, and has raised a family in the town. Having recently retired, he is currently a member of the Keighley Trades Union Council Executive Committee and Chair of the Keighley and Ilkley Constituency Labour Party. Amanda is a local Town Councillor, Language teacher and she has worked as a Staff Nurse in the NHS. She is also the mother of two. Ash was born and raised in Oxenhope, where he sits on the local Village Council and Youth Club Board. He currently works as a Carer, and is also training to become a barrister.
